John Coltrane and the Truly Religious Life

The great jazz musician John Coltrane said, “My goal is to live the truly religious life, and express it in my music. I’d like to point out to people the divine in a musical language that transcends words. I want to speak to their souls.” First Church member James Galasinski, who has a degree in Jazz Studies and plays bass, will share his thoughts on Coltrane’s life and music, and the inspiration and guidance he draws from it on how to live.
