Current Adult Education Classes
There’s a lot of action being planned for Adult Religious Education beginning in September -- but we're keeping it cool this summer with just a couple of great bike tours:
No registration is needed for either of these bike rides!
June 22
from South Shore Park, 10:00 a.m. start time
Meet First Church member Jane Stoltz on the Lake Michigan side of the South Shore Park pavilion. We’ll peddle through scenic South Shore, Sheridan, Warnimont, and Grant county parks to Drexel Street. The approximate 26 mile, out and back, mostly flat, ride is a compilation of bike trails and South Milwaukee urban riding. Riders have the option of making the ride shorter, or, longer. Participants may want to visit the Shore Shore farmers market before departure time. Due to the popularity of the farmers market, be sure to arrive early to get a parking space on the street. The ride is also being offered as a Sierra Club outing.
June 29
from Lake Park, 10:00 a.m. start time
Join Cheri Briscoe at the parking lot at Lake Park on the southwest side of the Lake Park Bistro for a bike ride from Lake Park to McKinley Park, Riverside, Cambridge Woods, Estabrook, Lincoln and Kletzsch Park (around 20 miles round trip). Most of the riding is on trails with some urban riding along Newberry on the return trip. We may stop by some ravines, rivers and or wetland areas for some contemplation of nature’s blessings & beauty.
Registration forms can be turned in at the RE Table, or mailed to:
