Journey to Membership

Visitors and newcomers interested in membership at First Church are encouraged to participate in one of our four-week "Journey to Membership" sessions! You’ll get acquainted with other First Church newcomers and meet our Ministers, Drew Kennedy and Dena McPhetres. You’ll learn about Unitarian Universalist beliefs, spirituality, and history, our Religious Education and other First Church programs, and the meaning of membership.
Participation in a Journey to Membership series is required for membership in the First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee. You’ll have the opportunity to sign the Membership Book at the last session.
"Journey to Membership" will be led by Drew Kennedy, Senior Minister; Dena McPhetres, Associate Minister; Kathy Porter, Director of Membership and Development; and Beryl Aschenberg, Director of Religious Education.
Childcare is available during the program. Cost is $15.00.
Schedule:
Fall 2012
Tuesdays, October 9, 16, 23, & 30
6:00-8:30 p.m. for sessions I & IV (dinner will be served)
6:00-8:00 p.m. for sessions II & III
Winter, 2013
Saturday, January 26, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (lunch will be served)
Joining ceremony will be Tuesday, January 29, 6:00-8:00 p.m. (dinner will be served)
(If the January 26 class is canceled due to weather, the make-up dates will be Saturday, Febrary 16 and Tuesday, Febrary 19, same times.)
Spring 2013
