Leenhouts Art Gallery

The Leenhouts Gallery Committee extends an invitation to view the new art exhibit which will be on display Sunday, April 26. It features works by two artists, iconist Andrea Bowes and photographer Dr. Greg Isermann.
Their work will hang in the Gallery from April 26, 2009 through June 6, 2009.
Andrea Bowes uses religious symbolism from many cultures to painstakingly produce artworks in the manner of traditional Greek and Russian Orthodox icons.
Dr. Isermann creates fine art photography of intimate urban scenes from world cities and cultures with a dramatic play of light on forms and textures.
The Leenhouts Gallery will jury work for the 2009 – 2010 exhibition season on Saturday, May 9, 2009
Artists may drop off three works, a resume and an artist’s statement between 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.; pick up work between 2:00 - 2:30 p.m.
All work must be 2D only, original, gallery-ready, and no larger than 24” x 36” unless the work is lightweight, foldable or rollable fiber art such as quilts or hangings. Artists selected will be notified by mail as to the dates of their six-week exhibition.

About the Leenhouts Art Gallery.
Located in the Leenhouts Common Room on the main level, our art gallery features the works of talented artists from the Milwaukee area. Exhibits are open to the public every Sunday during Coffee Hours from 9:45-11:00 a.m., 12:00-1:00 p.m. and 6:00-7:00 p.m.. During the week, visitors may view the gallery show Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. and Friday, 9:00 a.m. -12:00 noon. Just ring the doorbell at 1342 N. Astor Street for admittance.
