Our Vision
Our Vision 2010 includes critical recommendations in five areas –growth, diversity, social justice, staffing and organization, and finances – that the church will strive to achieve by 2010.
- Implementation of a third service. Our third service begins Fall, 2007.
- Expansion of social justice activities. The responsibilities of our new Assistant Minister include devoting a significant portion of time to social justice activities.
- Increase our diversity. Our plan is to achieve this through social justice and activities of concern to people of diverse backgrounds, as well as a focus on attracting and retaining members under 35 years of age. We also will enhance efforts to welcome visitors and help them become involved.
- Increase staff and improve office space. In addition to hiring an Assistant Minister, we recently hired a Lead Music Director, RE Program Coordinator and Office Assistant. We also made the Director of Membership and Development a full-time position. We have expanded office space to accommodate this additional staff. As finances permit, we’ll add other program and support staff and expand office space.
- Increase budget to implement this Vision. We had a successful Vision 2010 fundraising campaign. The start-up funds raised will enable us to balance our budget until membership and pledges increase to match expenses.
