Moments of Bliss

Including a story told by Beryl Aschenberg

Every once in a while, if fortunate, we experience something unexpected, indescribable, something transformative, something transcendent. Timeless … and yet, terribly, wonderfully brief. Moments of Bliss. They are worth holding on to, worth seeking, and worth sharing with each other.

Rabbits, Resurrection, and Rebirth: What Does Easter Mean To You?

speaker photoA Sermon from: April 8, 2007
By: Rev. Craig D. Schwalenberg

“Do Unitarian Universalists celebrate Easter Sunday?” my friend asks. “Yes,” I respond. She raises her eyebrow and cocks her head, “Really? What do they celebrate?” And I tell her… I tell her… I tell her of eggs and rabbits and flowers. Of darkness and light and of the moon and the sun. Of dancing and coupling, flirting and celebrating. Of Goddesses and Gods. Of Death. Of Life. Of Resurrections and Rebirths. I tell her about one of the oldest and most meaningful of holy days. I tell her of Easter.
