Deepening Our Spiritual Literacy

As the longstanding American hegemony of Christianity comes to an end, Unitarian Universalism has new opportunities to richly fulfill the spiritual hunger of increasing numbers of our friends and neighbors. Yet as normative religion relaxes its grip in America, there is an obvious spiritual illiteracy growing amongst us, as well. Please join me as I share some reflections on post-traditional spirituality in the 21st century, including our new experiment in “theme-based preaching.” —Drew
